Hotspot Titanium as an independent company was born out of a Dutch innovation hub: Inventum.
Founded in 1908 by Alexander Vosmaer, Inventum used the specifics of electric energy to create a range of innovative ventilation and boiling water appliances.
Thanks to Inventum’s rich history, innovation and expertise in delivering sustainable, energy- saving hot water and ventilation solutions to the environment, Hotspot Titanium was spun off as a sustainable and lean manufacturing company that guarantees quality from start to finish with its filtered boiling water solutions.
Installation is super easy! There are multiple options:
The short answer is no, you don’t lose room in your kitchen. The most common standard width for kitchen cabinets is 600mm, but standard carcasses are sold in widths of 300mm, 400mm, 500mm, 800mm and 1,000mm. Vertical dimensions vary, but work surfaces are usually fitted at a height of 910mm. Therefore, Hotspot Titanium water heaters will fit beautifully under your sink!
The measurements of our titanium heaters are as following:
The standby heat loss, or energy that the Hotspot Titanium uses even when no water is drawn, is approximately 25 Watt for an 8-litre water heater and approximately 16 Watt for a 4-litre water heater. If you think about a typical in-home wireless router, the HotSpot Titanium is equivalent when it comes to energy usage.
It costs an estimate of 9 pence a day for an 8-litre and 6 pence a day for a 4-litre heater (assumed 15 pence / kWh) Remember, this depends on the energy supplier and rates, among other factors.
The below table shows the difference between a conventional kettle and Hotspot Titanium 4 and 8-litre. We have considered the amount of energy it would take to make six 250ml mugs of tea or coffee on six separate occasions with a kettle (partial kettle-fill of 500ml).
The cost equated to £0.063p per 24 hours – this based on 3kW Kettle x 84 seconds to boil = 0.07 kWh. With an assumed cost of 15p/kWh x 0.07 kWh = £0.011p.
