There’s a moment — just before a big renovation begins — where imagination meets possibility. You stand in your current kitchen, picturing what could be. The glow of a better space. A calmer morning coffee. A more beautiful backdrop to everyday life.
That’s exactly where Mia Baker found herself.
Mia isn’t your typical influencer. With a background in marketing and storytelling, she’s used her platform to open up golf to a more diverse, younger audience, bringing authenticity and energy to a sport she’s grown to love. As she told Golf Monthly back in 2023, “I’m just trying to inspire more people to play golf.” And now? She’s inspiring people to upgrade their kitchens too. Her kitchen makeover is more than just a design upgrade — it’s a lifestyle shift. And the star of the show?
The stunning Caldo Tempesta quartz worktops from our Stonelore collection.
With its warm, earthy veins against a creamy white background, Caldo Tempesta is a surface that tells a story. It captures the drama of a stormy landscape washed in golden light — powerful and elegant all at once.

“I feel like my kitchen looks SO luxurious now,” Mia told us, grinning. “It honestly elevates the kitchen entirely. I couldn’t be happier. And I’m not even saying that!” But Stonelore Caldo Tempesta doesn’t just look beautiful. Every slab is crafted in our purpose-built Middlesbrough factory, where expert stonemasons and cutting-edge machinery work together to create quartz that is as resilient as it is refined.
As someone new to the world of bespoke kitchens, Mia was fascinated by our laser templating process.
“Everything was extremely smooth — surprisingly so!” she said. “The guy who came was EXTREMELY nice, and all the technology he used was actually really fascinating for someone like me who’s never seen it happen before!” Using laser templating allows us to measure down to the finest detail — ensuring a flawless fit, every time!
Life doesn’t always move in straight lines — and we get that. Mia’s schedule meant she had to delay installation by a couple of weeks, but the process was still seamless. Commenting to the team “I received really good email comms so I could ensure myself, and my builders were ready for the installation day”. We know how important it is for good communication as when your life is busy, it helps to work with a team that makes things feel easy.
Even before the paint for the walls and the new floor yet to be installed, Mia’s reaction to the new worktops said it all. “I was genuinely taken aback by how stunning the worktop looked! They seemed to install it with ease, and everything ran as expected without any problems.
Again, the installers were extremely friendly and kind, and I really appreciated them!” Mia could see how her vision was starting to take shape and at the very heart of the transformation was the beautiful Stonelore Caldo Tempesta quartz.
This isn’t the end — it’s just the beginning.!
In Part 2, we’ll share the final kitchen reveal — with styling, decoration, new flooring, and Mia’s personal touches all in place. The transformation will be complete and trust us… it’s worth tuning back in for. As Mia said, “When I get my next home, I’d even consider getting the same again — I love it that much!”
