5 Grey and Yellow Kitchen Ideas

Kitchen Trends: Grey and Yellow

This year Pantone Color Of The Year gave us two colours; ‘Ultimate Grey’ and ‘Illuminating’, speaking to the combination of strength and positivity, endurance and hope. A kitchen trend we are loving right now is the combination of these colours, cleverly applied in different ways. In this article are five of our favourite kitchens that illustrate how a grey and yellow inspired kitchen can be created in a whole variety of ways to suit your taste. Whether it’s through a pop of yellow in the choice of tiles or furniture, or a statement kitchen island, a good worktop surface provides the base from which to bring this trend to life.

More and more people are realising that by sourcing each of the main components for your kitchen from specialist suppliers, rather than your ‘one stop shop’ kitchen company, you will get the best quality materials and service, and save money at the same time. We love being part of our customers’ journey, supplying beautiful quartz surfaces to create the look they want in their kitchen.

So if you are looking to create a grey and yellow inspired kitchen, here are five kitchen ideas for you, along with some quartz worktop surface ideas to get the look.

1 A grey island with a pop of yellow

We love this kitchen featured in livingetc.com, where the use of a light quartz worktop with grey veining provides a base from which to bring the grey and yellow kitchen trend to life. Here a grey island is contrasted with bright yellow kitchen stools and a pop of yellow paint on the door creating a light and cheerful, inspiring space.

This kitchen brings the grey and yellow kitchen trend to life in a dramatic way with the pairing of grey and yellow across the worktop surfaces and cabinets, wall paint and window frames and more. The use of dark grey worktops makes the yellow in this kitchen sing and the veining detailing brings another dimension to this beautiful space.

4 Bring in a pop of yellow with appliances

We love how yellow has been brought in through the bright yellow fridge and seamless kitchen cabinets along the wall. A subtle grey kitchen island and stools balance the space perfectly. Here, a bright white quartz surface compliments and brings together all the other textures, materials and colours in this space.

5 A yellow kitchen island and grey walls

In our final kitchen, yellow has been brought in through a painted farmhouse style kitchen island. This is complimented by a deep grey wall which in turn brings out the beautiful grey veining detailing in the quartz worktop, adding a touch of luxury.
